It has been an ages since the last time that I posted anything, well I am going to dust the virtual cobwebs of this blog and start posting regularly again.
Why every one should listen to the Ray Foley show on Today Fm
1-Ray, JP and Adel are really funny, which is kind of important due to the fact that it a comedy programme.
2-Every Friday fifteen minuets at the beginning of the show, they do a feature called lazy radio. This segment of the show consists of them playing classic tv theems tunes for the mid 80/s to the early 90’s.
3- I love his mix of songs, a good mix of indeed, rock pop and cheesy pop
4- The show has the best jingles in Ireland
5-Sexy lunch time is a genius idea I am not going to in to the ins and outs of it, but it is a fucking hilarious.
6-At the moment I am loving his phone calls to scammer mark harrish
7- The daily pod cast that they do contains both original and uncensored content on their pod cast
8- I love the game show thingy, Eh, Yeah, Ok. Which is an updating of the Yes/no game, but intead of being preventing from saying yes or no, contestants are prevented form saying Eh,Yeah Or Ok but I would have guessed that by now.
I know eight points is not a lot of points for why you should listen, but due to my gold fish like memory I couldn’t give come up with any other points.
If you are interested in listening to the show, you can listen Monday- Friday 12:00 2:30 on 100-102 Today Fm. Or if your listening international go on to www.today.fm and click the listen live.
And to download the pod cast go to I-tune and type ray foley into the search bar and should be able to subscribe to their show from their.

Watchmen
Having never read the Alan Moore’s now classic graphic novel, I cannot compare Zack Snyder’s movie with the graphic novel.
But what I can comment on is the movie, and boy and boy where on earth do I start, no, really where do I start as the plot of this movie is nearly imposable to sum up, but the best I can do sum up the story of the movie is this:
Watchmen takes place in alternative 1985 American, in which Richard Nixon has passed a bill that allowed him to be elected five times. He has really pissed off the Russians, because they have built up an arsenal of nukes, and our set to bomb the shit out of America and create a nuclear Armageddon?
Can Dr Manhattan, the only person in the movie who is a super hero, prevent the world from being reduced to a smoking creator?
This is a fucking great movie, plan and simple. Zack Snyder has created a visually stunning movie. The fact that the movie has even gotten up on the screen, it is self is a miracle, as this movie has been on the cards for ages now. At one stage Terry Gillingham was attached to the movie, but eventually left the project, claiming that the graphic novel could not be filmed.
A word of warning before you go, this is a really violent movie, so if you are squeamish I would give this one a wet birth.
Also, you are either going to rant and rave about this movie, you are going fucking detest it, I fucking loved it.

warning, this post contians bad words.
With Saw V currently in the cinema, I though that I would write something in relation to the Saw saga..
One problem, I could not come up with a fucking decent fucking post about the fucking Saw saga, why did I find this to be such a fucking Herculean task? I’d find it easier to pluck a grape out of a lions asshole than I’d found it to write about the Saw saga,. I would finder easier to do a hand stand while taking a shit then write I found writing about the Saw saga, I think you get the point, it I found it hard, really fucking hard.

Above John “Jigsaw” Kramer
This may come across as pointless, so why did I bother my fat, and surprisingly hairy and extremely fragrant ass to write this post? Well it was such a god damn mother fucking mind fuck to do so, than I want to vent my spleen, so that I could get rid of my frustration,
Some time in the future I will make another attempt to write a post about the Saw saga, guess I am a gluten for punishment.. Well that is that is it for now, peace out fuck biscuits

Enough already
With all the war, famine, death, and general bad shit that is happening on the planet the media are still harping on about Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand’s leaving messages on veteran actor Andrew Sachs, I know that Brand and Ross are famous and people are interested in the story, but talk about milking the fuck out of the story

- Jonathan Ross and Russel Brand
at this junctor, I think that should give my opinions on the call Brand and Ross call.
I though that ti was really funny. Yeah it was a bit crude, but it was funny, thier was nothing malicous in the messages that were left on Mr Sachs answering machine.
When the show originally aired, there were only two complaints about the incident, but this figure some how sky rocked to near 30, 000 . My guess for this massive spike in complaints was that a large amount of the people who complained read about the call in the newspapers, and complained based on what the read on the paper.
As I wrote this post, it slowly dawned on me that post is a bit hypocritical, seen as I have written a post saying that it ridiculous that people in the media are still talking about the prank phone call over a week later, and I have just written a post that is doing the same thing, my bad

Phantom FM
I love the music played on Phantom 105.2. But nothing in the life is perfect, so here a few changes that I think their music out put would better if they implentment the following suggestions:
They should play Mirror In The Bathroom By The Beat or The English Beat.
They should play night boat to Cairo by Madness.
They should play more stuff by The Blizzards.
They should play more Pink Floyd.
They should more rap music, there is more the genre than The Beastie Boys (who are great by the way)
They should play more Flaming Lips.
So if any one from the station reads this blog, please take any suggestions in the above list into consideration.
Until next time, peace out bitches.
P.S
Haven’t listened to the station yet, click on the link and you can listen to the live web stream

Bloc Party review
Artist: Bloc Party
Album: Intimacy
Label: Wichita
Released: Thursday 21st August 2008

By know it is fairly safe to say that the vast majority of people will be aware of the just how surprising the news of the release of the follow up to 2007’s A Weekend In The City was.
For those of out of the loop on Monday of last week via their official website, Bloc Party made the announced that on Thursday of last week Intimacy was going to made available to download via the site. In the same announcement they said that an extended version was going to be in shops in October.
Ares gets Intimacy off to a blistering start, it beings with a soft vocal from Kele, then a piercing, swirling guitar riff kicks in, then pulsating sirens join the taught riff. Ares liberally borrows from The Chemical Brothers tune Setting Sun, but Bloc Party stamp enough of their identity into the mix to stop it from being a straight out copy. The next track and lead single Mercury left quite a number of people cold. They really didn’t like the new direction that the band was heading. For those who were put off by Mercury will be comforted to know that it fits in perfectly with the rest off the tracks on the record.
Video for Mercury
Intimacy is one of the better albums of 2008 This is without a doubt the finest album that this band has made so far; I don’t know what Bloc Party are going to come with for their fourth album, but judging from this long player it should be a scummy sonic stew.

Green Day news

According to The Ticket (for those of you who do not live in Ireland, the Ticket is the weekly entertainment section in The Irish Times newspaper) Green Day are set to release the follow up to American Idiot in August.
Hopefully the four year wait has been worth it.

Sac N Pip’s debut
Album: Angles
Artists: Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip
Released: Monday 12th May 2008
Label: Sunday Best Recordings

When you first clasp eyes on Scroobius Pip, he looks more like a local rabbi, rather than a rapper, and what a rapper this man is.
Pip is easily the best rapper in the United Kingdom; actually, he is one of the best rappers in the world today. Unlike the majority of rappers, he isn’t hung up on having a fancy image what he would rather concentrate on writing rhymes that are as good as he could possible write.
Single Thou Shalt Always Kill is a perfect showcase for how brilliant Pip’s lyrics are. The track could have been titled the commandments according to Scroobius Pip. During the song he manages to contradict himself At the beginning of the song, pip says
“Thou shalt not take the names of Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer, John Hartmond, Desmond Decker, Jim Morrison, Jimmy Hendrix or Sid Barrett in vain”.
But as the song reaches the halfway point Scroobius says the following
“Thou shalt not put musicians and recording artists on ridiculous pedestals/No matter how great they are, or were/The Beatles were just a band/Led Zeppelin, just a band/The Beach Boys, just a band/ The Sex Pistols, just a band/The Clash, / just a band./Crass , just a band.”
Can anybody see the contradiction in his lyrics? That aside, it is still a great song that makes many insightful, intelligent and humours points.
Thou Shalt Always Kill Video
A letter from god to man, sees Pip musing on what he thinks god makes of the way in which we have treated the planet and the way in which we have used religion for our own selfish ends. A Letter From God To Man uses a brilliant sample from Radiohead’s Planet Telex.
This album is filled with brilliant lyrics, ingenious beats. It has become all too rare to have a rapper who uses intelligence when writing their rhymes. This is the best rap album since Jay Z’s The Black Album.
